We care what our pets eat. This has been an evolutionary process (as life seems to be). It started over 20 years ago when we moved to the country. We bought 40 acres and decided to raise American Bison. The Bison were raised on grass and we did not use growth hormones or antibiotics. If an animal is eating the correct diet they do not get sick. We let our Bison gain weight naturally on a good grass diet. Bison meat is low in cholesterol, high in protein and retains the good omega fatty acids from the all-grass diet.
As our business grew we became more and more aware of the benefits of a good diet containing American Bison. It made sense that this would ring true with our pets as well. As we became more diet conscious we began to look into the benefits of a raw diet for our dogs. What do wolves and coyotes and foxes live on? They eat the entire kill which can include sinew, bone and internal organs. Our way of life doesn’t allow our dogs to have a natural diet like their ancestors.
So how do you feed a raw diet without the hunting and without the mess? We discovered a freeze-dry process which retains all the nutrients of the raw food. The freeze-dry process removes all the moisture from the product while maintaining all the nutrients so important in raw food. This process works great for all the “parts” that would be included in a fresh kill such as: liver, tongue, heart, tendons and scapula cartilage.
We lost our beloved Rottweiler Sheba in January of 2014. We knew we could not be “dog-less” and love the Rottie temperament. We worked with a breeder and brought home our new Rottie pup in April of 2014. Her name is Sadie and this is her company. She taste tests every product and her stamp of approval is her picture on every package. Sadie’s products need no refrigeration, are clean to handle and dogs love them (and some cats too)! We see the benefits of these products every day when we look at Sadie. She has a shiny coat, bright eyes and plenty of energy.
